The MAS3507D-G10 is a single-chip MPEG layer 2/3 audio decoder designed for audio broadcast or memory-based playback applications. It is highly suitable for portable electronics due to its embedded memories, embedded DC/DC up-converter, and low power consumption. The MAS3507D-G10 supports the MPEG 1 standard, including layer 3 with compression rates of approximately 12:1 for mono and stereo signals while maintaining CD audio quality. It also supports layer 2 compression, widely used in DVB, ADR, and DAB, which achieves a compression ratio of 8:1 offering CD quality.
