Description
The SN65LVDT34DR is a monolithic integrated circuit receiver and transceiver designed for bidirectional data communication over long cables. It meets or exceeds the requirements of industry standards ANSI RS-485 and ISO 8482:1987(E). With a low supply current of 5 mA max and the ability to operate with pulse durations as low as 30 ns, it is suitable for high-speed multipoint data transmission. The SN65LVDT34DR features 3-state outputs for party-line buses, a common-mode voltage range of -7 V to 12 V, and thermal shutdown protection to prevent driver damage from bus contention. It is pin compatible with the SN75ALS180.
