Description
The 4500B is an electronic component model categorized as IC chips. It is a single-bit CMOS processor called the MC14500B Industrial Control Unit (ICU). Designed for systems requiring decisions based on successive single-bit information, the ICU replaces combinatorial logic with a stored-program controller using an external ROM to store the control program. Its applications include relay logic processing, serial data manipulation, and control. Additionally, the ICU can control an MPU or be controlled by an MPU.
