Description
The BQ2407RHLR is an integrated Li-Ion linear charger and system power path management device designed for space-limited portable applications. It supports charge currents up to 1.5 A and operates from either a USB port or an AC adapter. With input overvoltage protection, it can handle a wide range of input voltages from unregulated adapters. The charger is fully compliant with USB standards and has input-based dynamic power management (VIN-DPM) to protect against poor USB sources. It also features integrated dynamic power path management (DPPM), which simultaneously powers the system and charges the battery. Additional safety features include reverse current, short-circuit, and thermal protection, as well as a proprietary start-up sequence to limit inrush current. The BQ2407RHLR is suitable for use in smart phones, portable media players, portable navigation devices, and low-power handheld devices.
