Littelfuse highly reliable CG/CG2 Series Gas Discharge Tubes (GDTs) are ideal for board level circuit protection. They offer a high degree of surge protection in a small size. GDTs are switch-like components that handle currents that far surpass other types of transient voltage protection. They are made of a rugged ceramic metal construction, and their gas-filled nature make them well suited to adverse environments. The CG/CG2 series comes in various forms including surface mount, core, straight and shaped leads to serve diverse mounting methods. The CG Series (75-110V) is suitable for testing and communication equipment as well as other devices with low voltage limits and extremely low arc voltages. On the other hand, the CG2 Series (145V-1000V) is ideal for protecting equipment where higher voltage limits and holdover voltages are necessary.
