Description
The LT1767EMS8-5 is a 1.25MHz monolithic buck switching regulator designed for high efficiency and fast transient response. It features a 1.5A, 0.22Ω switch, which, together with the control circuitry, forms a high frequency, current mode switching regulator. The current mode control ensures excellent loop stability and allows for consistent performance over a wide range of input voltages from 24V systems to Li-Ion batteries. The regulator operates at a low dropout voltage and has a low operating supply current of 1mA. It also offers shut down mode with a quiescent current of 6µA. The maximum switch current remains constant at all duty cycles. The regulator can be synchronized to a 2MHz internal oscillator using an external logic level signal. The LT1767EMS8-5 is available in an 8-pin MSOP fused leadframe package and a low thermal resistance exposed pad package. It provides full cycle-by-cycle short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown for added safety. Additionally, its high frequency operation allows for the reduction of input and output filtering components and enables the use of chip inductors.
