Description
Electronic Component Model: A6331 is a hybrid IC designed for fly-back converter type SMPS (Switching Mode Power Supply) applications. It is a part of the STR-A6300 series and comes in a small-sized 8-pin DIP type full molded package. This IC helps in downsizing and standardizing power supply systems by reducing external components count and simplifying circuit designs. It is suitable for low-height SMPS and features an incorporated oscillator with On-Chip-Trimming technology. The control part is compensated for temperature, resulting in small temperature characteristics variation. It has a low start-up circuit current and a built-in Active Low-Pass Filter for stabilizing the operation at light load. The MOSFET in the IC is guaranteed to have high VDSS, simplifying the surge absorption circuit. It also has various protection functions including Pulse-by-pulse Overcurrent Protection (OCP), Overvoltage Protection with latch mode (OVP), and Thermal Shutdown with latch mode (TSD).
