The LTC3723EGN-1#PBF is a DC DC switching controller used for a single-switch forward converter. It includes an on-chip gate driver. To create a complete forward converter with secondary-side control, it can be combined with the LTC3706 PolyPhase® secondary-side synchronous forward controller. This combination allows for a complete forward converter using minimal discrete parts. The LTC3723EGN-1#PBF utilizes a proprietary scheme to multiplex gate drive signals across the isolation barrier through a tiny pulse transformer. The on-chip rectifier and the same pulse transformer provide gate drive bias power.
