Description
The LT1580IR-2.5#PBF is a 7A low dropout regulator designed to power the new generation of microprocessors. It has a dropout voltage of 100mV at light loads, increasing to just 540mV at 7A. It requires a second low current input voltage that is 1V greater than the output voltage to achieve this dropout. Additionally, it can be used as a single supply device when the dropout is comparable to an LT1584.
