The RDA5870E is a single-chip broadcast FM transceiver designed for portable devices. It is a fully integrated IC chip that includes a synthesizer, IF selectivity, and MPX decoder. The chip utilizes the CMOS process and supports multi-interfaces, making it require the least amount of external components. With a package size of 4X4mm, the RDA5880E is completely adjustment-free and offers optimum sound quality with varying reception conditions. It also features RDA patented dual synthesizers and an all-digital transmit structure for excellent transmission performance and agility. The RDA5880E operates within the 65M~115M frequency band and includes 4K memory, making it suitable for simple wireless control appliances such as toys.

- Support integrated Rx/Tx PCB antenna and SNRFM searching
- Includes 4K memory and support for 32.768KHz crystal oscillator
- Digital auto gain control (AGC) and digital adaptive noise cancellation
- Programmable de-emphasis (50/75 ms) and receive signal strength indicator (RSSI)
- Bass boost, volume control, and support for I2S digital transmitter
- Support audio power amplifier (32Ω resistance loading) and I2S digital input/output interface
- Line-level analog output voltage with various reference clock options
- 2-wire and 3-wire serial control bus interface
- Integrated LDO regulator for 2.7 to 5.5 V operation voltage
- 4X4mm 24-pin QFN package
