    The OQ2812 is a high performance limiting amplifier integrated circuit (IC) that was produced as the main amplifier in Non-Return to Zero (NRZ) transmission systems with 2.5 Gbits/s. It is part of the IC Chip product category and is widely used in various types of systems that require high-speed data transmission. The chip is composed of four amplifier stages, providing a total gain of 48.5 dB, allowing for a wide input signal dynamic range at a constant Current Mode Logic (CML)-compatible output level. Additionally, it comes with two level-detection circuits that monitor AGC and LOS input signal levels. There is also an automatic offset compensation circuit built-in to eliminate the offset in the amplifier chain.

    Application Scenarios

    The OQ2812 is commonly used as the main amplifier in various short, medium, and long-haul optical transmission systems that use Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) and Synchronous Optical Network (SONET). It can also be used as a level detector for laser diode control loops or as a wideband RF gain block with internal level detectors.
