It incorporates a battery input to maintain accurate timekeeping when the main power is interrupted. The DS3231M+T is a reliable choice due to the integration of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) resonator, which enhances long-term accuracy and reduces manufacturing line complexity. It has the same footprint as the popular DS3231 RTC.
