Description
The ATV2500H/L is the most powerful programmable logic device available in a 40-pin package. Increased product terms, sum terms, and flip-flops translate into many more usable gates. High gate utilization is easily obtainable. It features a third-generation programmable logic structure that can easily achieve gate utilization factors of 80 percent. With 86 inputs and 72 sum terms, it offers increased logic flexibility. The output macrocell includes 48 flip-flops (2 per macrocell) and 3 sum terms that can be ORed and shared. This device is known for its high speed and low power consumption, with less than 0.5 mA typical for the ATV2500L model. It also provides multiple feedback paths for buried state machines and I/O bus compatibility. Asynchronous clocks and resets are supported, with multiple synchronous presets available. The ATV2500H/L is built using a proven and reliable high-speed CMOS EPROM process, ensuring 2000V ESD protection and 200 mA latchup immunity. It is reprogrammable and comes in both a 40-pin dual-in-line package and a 44-lead surface mount package.
