The YGV628B-VZ is the latest version of the YAMAHA AVDP series. It is widely used in various visual equipment and vehicle equipment. With three bit-map planes, it allows for the display of external images and has OSD functions such as α-blending and display priority control. It also has a digital image Input/Output function for image expansion or reduction.
Specifications and features
- OSD Function: The YGV628B-VZ supports overlaying OSD images composed of plains in case of a digital image input. It allows simultaneous use of three plains at its maximum. It offers natural picture display of 65536 colors and supports 16bit YCrCb422.
- Display Resolution: The YGV628B-VZ can create the display timing of various resolutions such as NTSC, PAL, QVGA, Wide QVGA, VGA, Wide VGA, and SVGA. It supports resolutions like 320×240, 400×240, 720×240, 640×480, 800×480, 800×600, etc. It also has resolution converting function for horizontal and vertical direction.
- Digital Image Input/Output Function: The YGV628B-VZ is compatible with 18bit RGB, 16bit YCrCb422, and ITU656. It allows mixing with an image signal externally.
- Analog Image Output Function: It has analog RGB output with 8 bits DAC for each R, G, B. It also supports super-impose of image data from an outside.
- Capture Function: The YGV628B-VZ can capture external images in real-time. It supports 18bit RGB, 16bit YCrCb422, and ITU656 inputs. It has pixel skipping functions and interlace to progressive conversion function.
- External Memory: It can be connected to 16Mbit, 64Mbit, 128Mbit, and 256Mbit(x16) of SDRAM for video memory.
- Others: The YGV628B-VZ has a high flexibility CPU I/F with a 16bit CPU bus width and endian control. It has built-in registers mapped to CPU memory space. It has a 176 pin plastic LQFP Pin lead coating. It operates at a temperature range of -40 degree to +85 degree and uses a CMOS, 3.3V unity voltage(5V tolerant).
