The VCT6973-FA-B3 is a high-performance ARM Cortex-M0 based microcontroller from the STM32F0 family of IC chips. It features a 32-bit CPU that can run up to 48 MHz, along with a range of memory options such as 128-256Kbytes of Flash memory and 32Kbytes of SRAM. The VCT6973-FA-B3 also includes a CRC calculation unit, clock management tools, and up to 88 fast I/Os that are mappable on external interrupt vectors. Additionally, this microcontroller boasts a range of communication interfaces such as I2C, USARTs, and SPI, among others. It is also capable of supporting touchkey and rotary touch sensors, and features a 96-bit unique ID. All packages are ECOPACK®2.

- Up to 24 capacitive sensing channels for touchkey, linear, and rotary touch sensors, and calendar RTC with alarm and periodic wakeup from Stop/Standby
- 12 timers, one 16-bit advanced-control timer for 6 channel PWM output, one 32-bit and seven 16-bit timers
- Communication interfaces: I2C, USARTs supporting master synchronous SPI and modem control, three with ISO7816 interface, LIN, IrDA, auto baud rate detection and wakeup feature, two SPIs (18 Mbit/s) with 4 to 16 programmable bit frames, and with I2S interface multiplexed, CAN interface, and HDMI CEC wakeup on header reception
- Serial wire debug (SWD), 96-bit unique ID
