    The MAX1610CSE is a fully integrated, high-efficiency driver designed for cold-cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs). It operates from a power source ranging from 4.5V to 26V. With an on-board power MOSFET, it reduces the need for external components and minimizes the size of magnetics. This component also provides protection against open or shorted lamps, and supports the use of an isolated transformer secondary winding for improved efficiency and reduced flicker at dim tube settings. The MAX1610CSE allows brightness adjustment through scaling the lamp current or by using a fixed lamp current and chopping the CCFL on and off at a rate faster than the human eye can detect.
