The EM84510FP is a Scrolling Mouse Controller designed specifically for controlling PS/2 mouse devices. It is a single chip that can interface three key-switches, four photo-couples, and z-axis direct to the 8042 controller. The EM84510FP is compatible with IBM PS/2 mode mouse commands and data formats. It features a key debouncing circuit to prevent false entries and improve accuracy. Additionally, it includes noise immunity circuitry to eliminate noise generated when the grid is partially closed or opened, reducing energy consumption.
