The TN80C186EB16 is a replacement for the original Intel® 80C186EB, 80C188EB, 80L186EB, and 80L188EB 16-bit high-integration embedded processors. It is produced using Innovasic’s Managed IC Lifetime Extension System (MILES™) which ensures complete compatibility with the original device. The TN80C186EB16 microcontroller is designed to replace the obsolete Intel 80C186EB and 80C188EB devices, allowing users to retain existing board designs, software compilers/assemblers, and emulation tools.
Specifications and features
The TN80C186EB16 microcontroller has low-power operating modes such as idle and power-down. It also features a low-power CPU core, direct addressing capability for memory and I/O, I/O ports, clock generator, programmable chip selects, memory refresh control unit, interrupt controller, counter/timers, and serial channels. The operating frequency of the TN80C186EB16 is 50 MHz at 5V and 32 MHz at 3.3V.
