Description
The UPC2908T is a three-terminal low dropout voltage regulator in the µPC2900 series. It is a positive regulator with a PNP output transistor, capable of sourcing 1A of output current with a low dropout voltage of typically 0.7V. This regulator is designed to significantly reduce power dissipation compared to traditional regulators with NPN output transistors. It also includes features such as on-chip overcurrent and thermal protection circuit, as well as an output transistor safe area protection circuit. Additionally, the UPC2908T is compatible with low voltage outputs of 3V and 3.3V, unlike the conventional low dropout regulators in the µPC2400A series.
