Electronic Component Model:SIC7900A is a digitally controlled potentiometer (XDCP) that consists of a resistor array, wiper switches, a control section, and nonvolatile memory. Its wiper position is controlled by a 3-wire interface. The SIC7900A is a solid-state potentiometer with a 3-wire serial interface and 32 wiper tap points. The wiper position is stored in nonvolatile memory and recalled on power-up. It has 31 resistive elements that are temperature compensated and have an end to end resistance range of ± 20%. The terminal voltage ranges from 0 to VCC. This model operates on VCC of 2.7V or 5V with an active current of 50/400µA max and standby current of 1µA max. The SIC7900A has high reliability with an endurance of 100,000 data changes per bit and register data retention of 100 years. It is available in RTOTAL values of 10kΩ, 50kΩ, and 100kΩ. The package options include 8 Ld SOIC, MSOP, and PDIP, and it is also RoHS compliant.
