Description
The A8178LLTTR is a low-dropout, 7.7V preregulator designed specifically for automotive applications. It provides an output voltage of 7.7V ±15% for supply voltages greater than 6.9V. This regulator also features a low-dropout tracking output for supply voltages down to 2.5V.
The A8178LLTTR is ideal for use with sensitive automotive electronics systems that require low dropout operation and cannot withstand high-voltage transients typical of automotive applications. It is capable of withstanding all ISO pulses and continues to operate during positive power supply transients.
This component is supplied in small-outline plastic transistor packages for surface-mount applications. The A8178LLTTR is available in the SOT-89/TO-243AA package, which offers increased allowable package power dissipation.
