Description
The LTC1349CG is a 3-driver/5-receiver RS232 transceiver with very low supply current. It is fully compliant with all data rate and overvoltage RS232 specifications and can operate up to 120k baud. The transceiver can handle a load of 2500pF, 3kΩ. It has a low supply current of only 300µA in the no load condition and 35µA in SHUTDOWN mode. The LTC1349CG is designed with ESD protection over ±10kV and can survive multiple ±10kV ESD strikes. It operates from a single 5V supply and uses small capacitors of 0.1µF. The transceiver features three-state outputs that are high impedance when off and output overvoltage does not force current back into supplies. The RS232 I/O lines can be forced to ±25V without damage. The LTC1349CG is pin compatible with LT1137A and LT1237, and it has a flowthrough architecture.
