This is the GW2179, an Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) co-packaged with a soft recovery ultra-fast rectifier. It utilizes advanced termination technology to provide enhanced and reliable high voltage-blocking capability. With its 600V IGBT technology, it is suitable for applications requiring high temperature short circuit capability and low VCE(on) voltage. This component also offers fast switching characteristics for efficient operation at high frequencies. The co-packaged design saves space, reduces assembly time, and lowers costs. The GW2179 is part of the energy-efficient and rugged E-series, featuring ESD protection and rugged short circuit performance.
