    The SP211EHCT is a high speed enhanced multi-channel RS-232 line transceiver that offers improved electrical performance. It is part of the SP207EH/208EH/211EH/213EH series, which serves as a superior drop-in replacement to previous versions and popular industry standards. The device features low-power CMOS construction and includes the Sipex-patented on-board charge pump circuitry that generates the necessary +10V RS-232 voltage levels using 0.1µF charge pump capacitors. The SP211EHCT also incorporates a low-power shutdown mode, reducing power supply drain to just 1µA. Its enhancements include a higher transmission rate of 500Kbps, lower power supply current at 3mA (typical, no load), and superior ESD performance. It is ideal for high-speed RS-232 applications and provides improved ESD tolerance of over +15kV for both Human Body Model and IEC1000-4-2 Air Discharge test methods.
