Description

The MAX881REUA is a power-management IC designed for wireless and satellite handsets. It operates from 3 to 6-cell NiCd/NiMH batteries or from 1 or 2-cell Li-Ion batteries. The IC includes a step-down DC-DC converter, a regulated 5V charge pump, and four linear regulators. It utilizes a pushbutton on/off scheme to activate a low-power shutdown mode. The MAX881REUA also features a low-battery detector output and an internal start-up timer.
