Description
The VSP6244A is a new component of the Micronas MEGAVISION® IC set in a CMOS embedded DRAM technology. It is a digital featurebox integrated in one monolithic IC, offering a low-cost solution without compromising picture quality.
Specifications and features
- Integrated video matrix switch with up to seven CVBS inputs and up to two Y/C inputs. It has three CVBS outputs, and the Y/C input signals are combined to the CVBS output format. The CVBS and Y/C A/D converter has a 9-bit amplitude resolution and AGC (Automatic Gain Control).
- Multi-standard color decoder supporting PAL/NTSC/SECAM, including all substandards. It automatically recognizes the chroma standard and requires only one crystal for all standards.
- RGB-FBL or YUV-H-V input with 8-bit amplitude resolution for RGB or YUV, and 8-bit amplitude resolution for FBL or H.
- ITU656 support with ITU656 input/output and DS656 output. It also has letterbox detection and noise reduction feature.
- Horizontal scaling of the 1fH signal with the possibility of split-screen using additional PiP or Text processor. It also offers flexible digital horizontal scaling of the 2fH signal with 5 zone panorama generator.
- Embedded memory with on-chip memory controller and embedded DRAM core for field memory. It also has SRAM for PAL/SECAM delay line and supports data format 4:2:2.
- Flexible clock and synchronization concept with horizontal line-locked or free-running mode, and vertical locked or free-running mode.
