Description
The PVI1050NSPBF is a transistor output optocoupler, specifically designed to generate an electrically isolated DC voltage when it receives a DC input signal. It consists of a light-emitting diode (LED) that is optically coupled to, but electrically isolated from, the output. This optocoupler utilizes a GaAIAs LED for high output and maximum stability. The LED emits infrared light, which, through photovoltaic action, energizes a series connection of silicon PN junctions. The output photovoltaic generators are formed using an edge-illuminated, unique alloyed junction stack, resulting in extremely high operating efficiency. It is available in two variants - a single 5-volt output or dual 5-volt outputs, which can be series connected to produce 10 volts.
