Description
The YGV634-BZ is a pattern graphic controller with an on-chip VRAM that enables high-resolution animated GUIs on WVGA display panels. It has multiple video ports for handling video signals from various sources such as DVD players, car navigation systems, and rear view cameras. The YGV634-BZ can superimpose characters, lines, and graphic icons or menu screens onto these videos.
With conventional graphic controllers, complicated display control programs need to be developed. However, with the YGV634-BZ, sprites can be used to simplify the programs as all the controls of a sprite are available in its 12-byte attribute: position, scaling factor, transparency, color gradation, etc. The YGV634-BZ also integrates an image decompression engine, which dynamically decompresses the sprite data stored in its external memory, achieving substantial memory capacity savings. This feature allows display systems for in-vehicle AV equipment and audio equipment with displays to be built with low-cost components.
