Description
The TOP213YN is an electronic component model in the IC Chips product category. It implements all functions necessary for an off-line switched mode control system. It features a high voltage N-channel power MOSFET with a controlled turn-on gate driver, a voltage mode PWM controller with an integrated oscillator, a high voltage start-up bias circuit, a bandgap derived reference, and a bias shunt regulator/error amplifier for loop compensation and fault protection circuitry. The TOP213YN is designed for 100/110/230 VAC off-line power supply applications in the 0 to 8 W (0 to 5 W universal) range. Compared to discrete MOSFET and controller or self oscillating solutions, the TOP213YN offers reduced total cost, component count, size, weight, while increasing efficiency and system reliability.
