Description
The AD724JR-REEL is a low-cost RGB to NTSC/PAL Encoder. It converts red, green, and blue color component signals into their corresponding luminance and chrominance signals according to either NTSC or PAL standards. The encoder operates at +5V and accepts FSC clock or crystal, or 4FSC clock. It provides composite video and separate Y/C (S-Video) outputs, and the luma and chroma outputs are time-aligned. The AD724JR-REEL requires minimal external components, with no need for external filters or delay lines. It has an onboard DC clamp and can accept either HSYNC and VSYNC or CSYNC. The encoder can be phase-locked to an external subcarrier and can drive 75 Ohm reverse-terminated loads. It has logic selectable NTSC or PAL encoding modes and comes in a compact 16-Lead SOIC package.
