Description
OP275GPZ is an instrumentation operational amplifier widely used in high-performance audio, active filters, fast amplifiers, and integrators. The OP275 is the first amplifier to feature the Butler Amplifier front end, combining bipolar and JFET transistors to achieve low noise performance and speed. This model has a THD+Noise equal to that of previous audio amplifiers but with a much lower supply current of less than 5 mA. The JFET input stage is designed to deliver high slew rates when required, ideal when large output swings are required.
Specifications and features
- Sonic characteristics: The OP275 delivers excellent sonic characteristics, low noise, and distortion. The low noise response is flat, maintains below 6 Hz resistor, and achieves a noise level of 6 nV/Hz when measured at 30 Hz or 1 kHz.
- High-speed and low noise: The JFET portion of the input stage gives the OP275 its high slew rates, which is proposed to keep distortion low, even when producing large output swings. The OP275 has a slew rate of 22 V/µs, the fastest ever in any standard audio amplifier.
- DC performance: Improved DC performance is also provided with bias and offset currents significantly reduced over purely bipolar designs. The input offset voltage is guaranteed at 1 mV and is typically less than 200 µV.
- Output: The OP275 has the capacity to drive 600Ω loads to 10 Vrms while maintaining low distortion. THD + Noise at 3 Vrms is low, just 0.0006%.
- Package: It is available in both plastic DIP and SOIC-8 packages. SOIC-8 packages are available in 2500-piece reels.
