The SN74LS161ANSR is a high-speed 4-bit synchronous counter. It is an edge-triggered, synchronously presettable, and cascadable MSI building block used for counting, memory addressing, frequency division, and other applications.Specifications and features
- The LS160A and LS161A models count modulo 10 (BCD), while the LS162A and LS163A models count modulo 16 (binary). - The LS160A and LS161A have an asynchronous Master Reset (Clear) input that overrides the clock and all other control inputs. - The LS162A and LS163A have a Synchronous Reset (Clear) input that overrides all other control inputs, but is active only during the rising clock edge. - It supports synchronous counting and loading. - It has two Count Enable Inputs for high-speed synchronous expansion. - Terminal Count is fully decoded. - It operates on an edge-triggered operation. - The typical count rate is 35 MHz. - It has an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection of over 3500 Volts.Application Scenarios
