Description
The 74HC163P is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS device that belongs to the counters / dividers product category. It is pin compatible with low power Schottky TTL (LSTTL) and is compliant with JEDEC standard no. 7A. This device is a synchronous presettable binary counter that features an internal look-ahead carry. It is designed for high-speed counting applications. The counters can be preset to a HIGH or LOW level, and the counting action can be disabled by a LOW level at the parallel enable input (PE). The data at the data inputs (D0 to D3) can be loaded into the counter on the positive-going edge of the clock, provided that the set-up and hold time requirements for PE are met.
