Description
The ISL6217CVZ is a multi-phase buck PWM control IC designed specifically for advanced Pentium IV microprocessors in notebook computers. It provides a precision voltage regulation system with integrated half-bridge gate drivers. The two-phase operation helps manage thermal issues and load demand for high-performance processors. The control IC also features input voltage feed-forward and average current mode control for excellent dynamic response. It offers "loss-less" current sensing using MOSFET RDS(ON) and allows users to select switching frequencies from 250kHz to 1MHz per phase.
