Description
The PEB3164F is a codec/SLIC chipset developed for Access Network and Customer Premises telecommunication applications. It features a 4 or 8 channel analog termination suitable for Voice and InterNet Enhanced Telephony. The VINETIC-Family of codec/SLIC chip sets, where PEB3164F belongs, provides optimum performance in telecom interfaces.
Specifications and features
The PEB3164F offers integrated voice compression codecs such as G.728, G.723.1, G.729 A/B/E and G.726 ADPCM(32,16,24,40 kbit/s) and patent indemnification for vocoder algorithms. It features line echo cancellation (LEC) technology which covers both Near- and Far-End-Echo, up to 128 ms tail, exceeding G.165/G.168/G.168-2000. Additionally, it has ATM AAL2 and RTP/UDP packet preprocessing, T.38 Fax Relay support and software-controlled Integrated Test & Diagnostic Functions (ITDF) that aid line testing (GR 909) and Quality of Service (QoS).
