The KA78XXE/KA78XXAE series of three-terminal positive regulator, known as KA7809E-TU, is a linear voltage regulator. It is packaged in TO-220/D-PAK and offers several fixed output voltages, providing versatility in various applications. These regulators are designed to be highly durable with internal current limiting, thermal shut down, and safe operating area protection. With adequate heat sinking, they can deliver over 1A output current. In addition to their fixed voltage regulator function, they can also be used with external components to achieve adjustable voltages and currents.
