GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The W83628F and W83629D are two types of electronic components used for converting the PCI bus to ISA bus in non-ISA chipsets. The W83628F is a PCI-to-ISA bus conversion IC and the W83629D is a condensed centralizer IC for IRQ and DMA control. Together, they form a cost-effective and space-saving solution for supporting ISA devices in chipsets that lack ISA support. Additionally, the W83627HF/F (Winbond LPC I/O) together with the set of W83628F and W83629D is a complete solution for new generation chipsets featuring LPC interface and no support for ISA bus.
