    The SN65LV1224ADB is a serializers/deserializers component model produced by Texas Instruments (TI). It is a monolithic integrated circuit designed for bidirectional data communication over long cables. The SN65LV1224ADB meets or exceeds the requirements of industry standards ANSI RS-485 and ISO 8482:1987(E). It is a balanced, or differential, voltage mode device suitable for high-speed multipoint data transmission over long cables. With pulse durations as low as 30 ns, it offers low supply current of 5 mA maximum. The SN65LV1224ADB also features 3-state outputs for party-line buses, a common-mode voltage range of -7 V to 12 V, thermal shutdown protection, and positive and negative output current limiting. It is pin compatible with the SN75ALS180.
