Description
The HCTL-2032SC is a CMOS IC that performs the quadrature decoder, counter, and bus interface functions. It is designed to interface an encoder to a microprocessor and operates at a clock frequency of 33 MHz. The HCTL-2032SC supports programmable count modes (1x, 2x, or 4x) and can be used for single or dual axis applications. It also features index channel support, high noise immunity with schmitt trigger inputs and digital noise filter, and a 32-bit binary up/down counter with latched outputs. The HCTL-2032SC has an 8-bit tristate interface and can be operated in 8, 16, 24, or 32-bit modes. It provides quadrature decoder output signals for up/down and count, as well as cascade output signals. The HCTL-2032SC offers substantially reduced system software requirements and is compatible with TTL/CMOS I/O. It operates at a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C and is available in 32-pin PDIP, 32-pin SOIC, and 20-pin PDIP packages.
