Description
The MAX517BCSA+ is an 8-bit voltage output digital-to-analog converter with a simple 2-wire serial interface. It is part of the MAX517/MAX518/MAX519 series of DACs which operate from a single 5V supply, feature internal precision buffers that allow the DAC outputs to swing rail-to-rail, and allow communication between multiple devices. The MAX517BCSA+ is a single DAC and includes a reference input for its operation. It features a serial interface and internal software protocol, with a communication speed of up to 400kbps. The device can be put into a low-power shutdown mode that reduces supply current to 4µA. Power-on reset ensures the DAC outputs are at 0V when power is initially applied. This DAC comes in an 8-pin small-outline (SO) package.
