  • Description

    The MC100EP16DT is a high-performance differential receiver/driver designed for interfacing with high frequency sources. It is functionally equivalent to the EL16 and LVEL16 devices, but with improved performance capabilities. The device features significantly faster output transition times than the EL16 and LVEL16, making it ideal for high-speed applications. It has a VBB pin, which is an internally generated voltage supply unique to this device. The unused differential input can be connected to VBB as a switching reference voltage for single-ended input conditions. VBB can also be used to rebias AC coupled inputs. It is recommended to decouple VBB and VCC with a 0.01 F capacitor and limit current sourcing or sinking to 0.5 mA when it is used. When not used, VBB should be left open. The MC100EP16DT also has internal input clamps that force the Q output LOW under open input conditions (pulled to VEE). The 100 Series of this device contains temperature compensation.
