Description
SMA, which stands for SubMiniature version A, is a type of electronic component model that was developed in the 1960's. It utilizes a threaded interface and provides excellent electrical performance from DC to 18 GHz. These connectors are compact, durable, and commonly used in phase array radar, test equipment, ILS landing systems, and other instrumentation that require phase matching techniques. They are designed in accordance with MIL-C-39012 and CECC 22110/111 standards, allowing them to be mated with connectors from different manufacturers. SMA connectors are available in both Standard and Reverse Polarity versions, with Reverse Polarity preventing mating with standard interface connectors by utilizing a reverse interface.
