Description
The 7815CV is a three-terminal positive regulator that is part of the L78 series. It comes in TO-220, TO-220FP, D²PAK, and DPAK packages and offers several fixed output voltages, making it suitable for various applications. These regulators provide on-card regulation, eliminating distribution issues associated with single point regulation. The 7815CV has internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe area protection, making it highly durable. With adequate heat sinking, it can deliver over 1 A output current. In addition to being designed as fixed voltage regulators, the 7815CV can also be used with external components to achieve adjustable voltage and currents.
