Description
The MC10EP16DTG is a world-class differential receiver/driver that belongs to the special logic ICs category. It is functionally equivalent to the EL16 and LVEL16 devices but offers higher performance capabilities. The device is designed for interfacing with high-frequency sources, with significantly faster output transition times compared to the EL16 and LVEL16. It features a VBB pin, which serves as an internally generated voltage supply exclusive to this device.
For single-ended input conditions, the unused differential input is connected to VBB as a switching reference voltage. VBB can also be used to rebias AC coupled inputs. When using VBB, it is recommended to decouple it and VCC via a 0.01 F capacitor and limit current sourcing or sinking to 0.5 mA. If VBB is not used, it should be left open. When the input is pulled to VEE, internal input clamps will force the Q output LOW. The MC10EP16DTG is part of the 100 Series, which features temperature compensation.
