Description
Electronic Component Model:74S283N is a special logic IC that is used for performing the addition of two 4-bit binary numbers. It provides sum (∑) outputs for each bit and also provides the resultant carry (C4) from the fourth bit. The unique feature of this component is its full internal look ahead across all four bits, which allows for partial lookahead performance while reducing package count. This makes it a cost-effective solution compared to a ripple-carry implementation.
