  • Description

    The 74AC74SCX is a dual D-type flip-flop with asynchronous clear and set inputs and complementary (Q, Q) outputs. It transfers information from the input to the outputs on the positive edge of the clock pulse. The clock triggering occurs at a voltage level of the clock pulse and is not directly related to the transition time of the positive going pulse. The data input is locked out after the clock pulse input threshold voltage has been passed, and the information present will not be transferred to the outputs until the next rising edge of the clock pulse input.

    Specifications and features

    The 74AC74SCX features asynchronous inputs that allow for independent clearing and setting of the flip-flop. A low input to the set input (SD) sets the Q output to a high level, while a low input to the clear input (CD) sets the Q output to a low level. Clear and set are independent of the clock, and a simultaneous low on CD and SD will make both Q and Q outputs high. In addition, the 74AC74SCX offers the following features:
