Description
The SN65LVDS050DR is a low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) driver and receiver designed for high-speed data communication over long cables. This monolithic integrated circuit meets or exceeds the requirements of industry standards ANSI RS-485 and ISO 8482:1987(E). It features 3-state outputs and is designed for high-speed multipoint data transmission. The device has thermal shutdown protection to prevent driver damage from bus contention and positive and negative output current limiting. The SN65LVDS050DR is pin-compatible with the SN75ALS180.
