Description
The CD4043BCN is a quad cross-couple 3-STATE CMOS NOR latch. It has a separate Q output and individual set and reset inputs. The latch can be enabled or disabled using a common 3-STATE enable input. When enabled, the latch states are connected to the Q outputs, and when disabled, the latch states are disconnected from the Q outputs. This allows for common bussing of the outputs. The CD4043BCN operates within a wide supply voltage range of 3V to 15V and has low power consumption of 100 nW (typical). It also offers high noise immunity of 0.45 VDD (typical). This latch is commonly used in multiple bus storage, strobed register, four bits of independent storage with output enable, and general digital logic applications.
