Description

The S-1170 Series is a positive voltage regulator with a low dropout voltage, high output voltage accuracy, and low current consumption developed based on CMOS technology. It features a built-in low on-resistance transistor for a low dropout voltage and large output current, a built-in overcurrent protector to prevent the load current from exceeding the current capacitance of the output transistor, and a built-in thermal shutdown circuit to prevent damage from heat. It also has an ON/OFF circuit for a long battery life. This model offers a larger variety of capacitors, including small ceramic capacitors, and is available in small SOT-89-5 and 6-Pin HSON(A) packages for high-density mounting.
