Description
The TISP8200MDR-S is a dual-gate reverse-blocking unidirectional thyristor designed for the protection of dual-voltage ringing SLICs (Subscriber Line Interface Circuits) against overvoltages on the telephone line caused by lightning, a.c. power contact, and induction.
It provides programmable protection configurations up to ±100 V. The TISP8200MDR-S typically protects 5 lines with its two thyristors and diode steering networks. It has a high surge current capacity, with a maximum rating of 150 A for 10/1000 µs, 150 A for 10/700 µs, and 500 A for 8/20 µs.
The TISP8200MDR-S is pin compatible with the LCP3121 and can serve as a functional replacement in diode steering network applications. It offers 50% more surge current than the LCP3121. The package is small and surface mount, with various ordering options available.
